We spy on Eagle Eye and behold the Miracle at St. Anna. Old school platforming goes Wii in Wario Land: Shake It. Early looks at Gamecock's upcoming games. Plus, celebrate TRS 80 with a real TRS-80!
This week in Movies:
Just as Shia LaBeouf's last thriller, Disturbia, was an update of the classic Hitchcock film, Rear Window, the actor's newest vehicle, Eagle Eye, looks to be a modern re-telling of North by Northwest. Alex, Dan, and Jeff decide if it is worth watching.
Director Spike Lee's latest film, Miracle at St. Anna, is a sprawling, ambitious World War II film. Can the guys handle it?
This week in Video Games:
Yearn for those old days of 2D Super Mario Bros platforming? Nintendo has you covered with Wario Land: Shake It. Alex, Dan, and Jeff give it a fair shake, to see if the new school twist fits with the old school gameplay.
Jeff and Dan hung out with some of the devs at Gamecock to see a early sneak peeks at Legendary, Velvet Assassin, and Mushroom Men.
Bungie made a huge announcement that turned out to be... more Halo 3. The guys react.
Plus:
In celebration of their own TRS 80, Jeff shows the guys his first TRS-80 and starts reminiscing about the demo scene.

Ok so i'm a week behind on all the Rev3 shows I watch... anyway...
First computer was a Atari 800XL... I remember playing the original Castle Wolfenstein on that with my brother... mainly because we felt we needed a second person to smack the option button to throw grenades when the SS guys showed up.
Then I got a C64 with a 300baud modem and dialed into local BBS's.
And the first family computer was a Packard Bell 486SX/25. Played a lot of 7th Guest on that thing.
Keep up the good work!

Alex - I've noticed you reference Wing Commander a couple of times on the show now, once before in connection with FMV and this time in connection with the amount of conventional memory they required. Even up to WC4, when the game needed around 16Mb of RAM, the fate of humanity still depended upon how much of 640k you could preserve.
I would also like to remind you guys of the amount of times you had to juggle IRQs and DMAs for sound/graphics/NICs. Nowadays you can just jam it into a PCI (express) slot and not worry. Oh for the days of DOS.

Haha Alex, "Computers look stupid."
My first computer was an Apple II I think...I don't remember honestly but I was able to play the 2-d version of Oregon Trail and spent hours in my basement going, Cross the river cross the river!!
Props Jeff for the eggs. Haha. Dan became the man when he shutdown Jeff.
The Clubs almost made me cry from laughter.
I was actually in the chess club I'm happy to admit. I sucked at academics but boy could I play a game of chess.
Also was in the Dodgeball Club, can never get enough dodgeball. (Does Digg need players haha?)

"
When I was in elementary school we had "computer hour" once every two weeks where we would all go and fight over the best games. Everyone wanted to play Oregon Trail.
Remember how they used to lecture us about "grounding" ourselves before touching the computer? I was deathly afraid of being electrocuted by accidentally touching the keyboard before touching both hands on the computer stand.
